Here in CHA, we’ve got 2 different time zones. If I call this place called Riverside Catfish House in Chattanooga, to make a reservation, from my house in Chattanooga, then I have to remember that they are an hour behind me, even though they are in the same city.
The line that determines central and eastern time is the boundary of Hamilton and Marion Counties.
It is very scenic around here with the river winding around very old mountains. It’s the Tennessee River, known by other names previously.
The river appears on French maps from the late 17th century with the names “Caquinampo” or “Kasqui.” Maps from the early 18th century call it “Cussate,” “Hogohegee,” “Callamaco,” and “Acanseapi.” A 1755 British map showed the Tennessee River as the “River of the Cherakees.” By the late 18th century, it had come to be called “Tennessee,” a name derived from the Cherokee village named Tanasi.
Hogohegee was a name on a Mitchell Map.
The Mitchell Map is a map made by John Mitchell (1711–1768), which was reprinted several times during the second half of the 18th century. The Mitchell Map was used as a primary map source during the Treaty of Paris for defining the boundaries of the newly independent United States.
Here’s another map with “The Suck” …
Speaking of sucking and rivers…the Hoover Dam is what this article is all about.
What are you looking at?!
The dam straddles two time zones.
The Hoover Dam has lots of occult symbolism and it seems like kind of a weird place for all this symbolism. Of course, the Seven Sisters…
Alcyone, designated η Tauri (Eta Tauri, abbreviated Eta Tau, η Tau), is a multiple star system in the constellation of Taurus. Approximately 440 light years from the Sun, it is the brightest star in the Pleiades open cluster, which is a young cluster, around 100 million years old. There are a number of fainter stars very close to Alcyone, all most probably members of the same cluster.
The Hoover Dam is an arch-gravity dam or arched dam, which is a dam with the characteristics of both an arch dam and a gravity dam. It is a dam that curves upstream in a narrowing curve that directs most of the water against the canyon rock walls, providing the force to compress the dam.
Anybody feeling tense lately?
not “really” like this, but a flood of information in your entire being…the apocalypse
It feels like a constant mis-alignment until the FOUR wheels of the unveiling happen. Until that happens, I don’t wanna live forever. I want to live forever in harmony with my brother.
